SUMMER ACTIVITIES IN VALMEINIER 1800
LEISURE ACTIVITIES
Take a picnic up to one of the lakes, go for a swim or simply lie back and enjoy the breathtaking scenery and fresh mountain air.
Fishing and riding the chair lifts outside the hotel followed by a leisurely walk down the mountains are also popular activities in the summer months.
SPORTS ACTIVITIES

26TH JULY 2026: Valmeinier Obstacle Race
This obstacle course is open to all (children, adults, alone, with family or friends) and is an opportunity to take on a life-size challenge and go beyond your limits. Watch the teaser HERE.
This obstacle course is open to everyone (children, adults, alone, with family or friends) and is an opportunity to take on a life-size challenge. Whether you decide to push yourself to your limits or take it easy at your own pace, the race guarantees a real moment of fun in a magnificent landscape.
The course runs along the ski slopes, all around the heart of the Valmeinier 1800 resort. Twenty or so obstacles await the adventurers: the crawling zone, the Spider Web, the warp wall, the traversing walls... Let's go for a festive and friendly moment.

9TH – 12TH JULY 2026: Valmeinier Throwdown
For 3 days, 100 teams of 3 athletes each (1-woman and 2 men) will have fun during the biggest Functional Fitness competition located at 1800 meters of altitude: giant rack, explosives metcons, vertical climb, tree-trunk throwing…
The Throwdown sets in amazing outdoor environment, in front of the mountains, the perfect place to make your red blood cells rise!
At the end of three days of challenges, the Valmeinier Throwdown judges will give the title of the fittest team of the Alps!

French Cup Enduro Series Mountain Bike
The Enduro Series is an enduro mountain bike competition that brings together the best riders aged 14 to 18 for a challenge combining technique and endurance. Participants will compete on five special stages spread across different courses throughout the town. Each descent will test their skill, speed, and effort management on varied terrain.

Valmeinier Colour Run
The Valmeinier Color Run offers a unique running concept. Approximately 4km long, the Color Run celebrates sharing, well-being, and fun through sporting and unifying values!
The Valmeinier Color Run is a fun, family-friendly challenge that lights up the streets of Valmeinier. An explosion of color accompanied by the lively rhythms of a DJ for a guaranteed festive atmosphere. See you on July 14th in Valmeinier 1500 and on August
15th in Valmeinier 1800!

Trial Du Galibier Thabor
With 10 routes suitable for all levels, including the flagship 67 km event in 2 stages between Valmeinier and Valloire, this competition promises to be the unmissable event for trail enthusiasts. Children can also participate in the Trail des Louveteaux with adapted courses, offering the whole family the opportunity to participate in this outdoor sports festival. Whether for the Trail du Thabor (32 km) or the Trail du Lac Vert in trail running or Nordic walking (12 km), the departure from Valmeinier pro offers spectacular landscapes.
