Located in the Maurienne Valley in the Savoie region, our hotel enjoys spectacular views down the valley and is in an excellent location in the centre of Valmeinier 1800 opposite the main chair lift.
The Hotel L'Aigle has a unique and very British ambiance and is modern and spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished throughout in a simple, functional, yet comfortable style. The welcoming reception, resident’s bar, dining and lounge area is open plan and has breathtaking views across the valley for you to enjoy at your leisure.
After a busy day enjoying all that the mountains have to offer, you can relax and enjoy a refreshing drink in the lounge or sit outside on the sun terrace with its bubbling hot tub and stunning views.
All nationalities are welcome, English and French are the main languages spoken.
OUR ROOMS
All of our 40 bedrooms have a bath with shower attachment and WC, some are with a balcony.
There are rooms to suit all requirements from single travellers, couples, families and groups who will fit comfortably in our large 4, 5 and 6-bedded rooms.
To make your stay even more comfortable there are new spring mattresses in all of the bedrooms and the double bedded rooms have been upgraded to feature king size beds.
FOOD & DRINK
A continental breakfast is served daily with the addition of a selection of hot dishes during the winter season.
Packed lunches can be pre-ordered for your day on the mountain. There is a fully stocked bar open from 4pm.
During the summer months you have the option to use the hotel dining room facilities to enjoy a takeaway from one of the local restaurants or we would be happy to recommend our favourite local restaurants to eat out.
During the winter season, after your day up on the slopes, you can relax in the lounge and enjoy mouth-watering home-made cakes with a selection of hot drinks.
A four-course meal created from locally sourced produce mixed with English favourites is served in the evening, including your choice of complimentary red or white wine.

The atmosphere in the chalet style hotel is friendly, supportive and great fun of an evening.
The accommodation is at the bottom of the slope in the heart of the village. The accommodation is clean, well maintained, warm and clean.

Delighted to have discovered L'Aigle hotel. Outstanding value and convenience. Will be coming back for sure. Lovely helpful staff and great food too. Wonderful for children. Very safe. The snow coach was excellent, giving 8 full days skiing.

Absolutely amazing place the staff are really amazing it’s very clean and very well organised always someone to have life with and the social skiing and spar after is just amazing I would really recommend I’ve travelled all over the world skiing this hotel is by far the best just an amazing atmosphere:):):
