Located in the Maurienne Valley in the Savoie region, our hotel enjoys spectacular views down the valley and is in an excellent location in the centre of Valmeinier 1800 opposite the main chair lift.
The Hotel L'Aigle has a unique and very British ambiance and is modern and spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished throughout in a simple, functional, yet comfortable style. The welcoming reception, resident’s bar, dining and lounge area is open plan and has breathtaking views across the valley for you to enjoy at your leisure.
After a busy day enjoying all that the mountains have to offer, you can relax and enjoy a refreshing drink in the lounge or sit outside on the sun terrace with its bubbling hot tub and stunning views.
All nationalities are welcome, English and French are the main languages spoken.
OUR ROOMS
All of our bedrooms have a bath with shower attachment and WC, some are with a balcony.
There are rooms to suit all requirements from single travellers, couples, families and groups who will fit comfortably in our large 4, 5 and 6-bedded rooms.
To make your stay even more comfortable there are new spring mattresses in all of the bedrooms and the double bedded rooms have been upgraded to feature king size beds.
FOOD & DRINK
A continental breakfast is served daily with the addition of a selection of hot dishes during the winter season.
Packed lunches can be pre-ordered for your day on the mountain. There is a fully stocked bar open from 4pm.
During the summer months we offer an evening snack menu available in the bar or we would be happy to recommend our favourite local restaurants.
During the winter season, after your day up on the slopes, you can relax in the lounge and enjoy mouthwatering home-made cakes with a selection of hot drinks.
A four-course meal created from locally sourced produce mixed with English favourites is served in the evening, including your choice of complimentary red or white wine.

Another fantastic ski trip, despite having not been back for many years due to a house move. I was overwhelmed by how thing were just as good as ever if not better with extra ski lifts. The club skiing was excellent and the friendliness of the staff as ever brilliant.

Fantastic hotel, staff are fun and can’t do enough for you! We were celebrating an 18th birthday when we were there February half term and they decorated the dining area, put on a quiz and the chef baked a fab cake! Great location allowing our teenage children to ski independently. We will be back 2024!

Homely and rustic hotel with the friendliest and most helpful staff you could ever wish for. The term customer service does not do justice for the genuine and fun staff who especially made my four year olds stay a brilliant one. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
